Professor Barry Percy-Smith is an experienced participatory practitioner, action researcher, and academic with a distinguished track record in the fields of child and youth participation, participatory research methodologies, and social change.
He specialises in participatory action inquiry and creative facilitation methods—such as visual approaches and knowledge cafés—to support learning and transformation within communities, organisations, and public sector settings.
His research has particularly focused on young people’s transitions, rights-based engagement, and inclusive policymaking.
