We reviewed existing evidence around interventions for illicit drug use and consulted with a wide range of stakeholders (Retzler et al., in prep; Doyle et al. in prep). Based on this evidence, using a coproduction approach and using a COM-B behaviour change framework, we created a three-pronged approach that aims to support YP by developing relevant skills to assess risks, make informed decisions, and reduce drug use:
